Ahmad Alkhatib is the Head of Division of Sport and Exercise Science at Abertay University in the UK. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine, an accredited UK nutritionist (RNutr), a clinical physiologist, a certified international sports nutritionist (CISSN), and also a Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy (FHEA). He was awarded his PhD in Exercise Physiology and Metabolism, and MSc in Exercise Sciences (Health and Fitness) from the University of Essex, UK. His research in exercise and nutritional sciences focuses on novel techniques to enhance health outcomes especially those combining nutraceuticals, with physical activity to enhance metabolic health, weight loss and disease prevention. He has over 100 publications and won several research and academic excellence awards.

Kirill Alekseyev has completed his MBA from St. Joseph’s College after completing his undergraduate studies at Stony Brook University in Long Island, NY as a Division I student athlete. He then went on to pursue his MD at American University of Antigua. He is currently a 2nd year resident Physician at Kingsbrook Rehabilitation Institute in Brooklyn, NY. He is the Vice President of the resident’s committee at NY Society of PM&R (largest PM&R Society in US) with an option to be President next year. He is also a Special Olympics Coordinator for the past 3 years. He has published chapters, articles in various journals, books and databases. He has over 20 poster and oral presentations at various national conferences. He is a recipient of NY Society of PM&R recognition award in 2014 and this year’s recipient of Professionalism award from his current Residency Program at Kingsbrook Rehabilitation Institute, Brooklyn, NY. Neil graduated from Loughborough with BEd and MSc degrees and earned his PhD and Higher Doctorate (DSc) at Exeter. He has been awarded Honorary Doctorates by Universities in Portugal (ScD) and Canada (LLD). Neil was appointed to Exeter in 1984 and was promoted to the first University Personal Chair in Sport and Health Sciences in 1992. He initiated the study of sport science in Exeter, founded the Children’s Health and Exercise Research Centre in 1987 and established the Department of Sport Science in 1998. He served as Head of the School of Postgraduate Medicine before founding the School of Sport and Health Sciences in 2002. He was appointed Deputy Vice-Chancellor in 2005 and served as Senior DVC and then as the University’s Inaugural Provost until 2014 when he decided to return to his research. Neil chaired the Sport Science Panel in the first two HEFCE Research Assessment Exercises (now REF). He was the first scientist to be awarded Fellowship of the British (FBASES), European (FECSS) and American (FACSM) Colleges of Sports Medicine/Science and he is the only person to have chaired both BASES and the Physical Education Association of the UK. He has chaired the Board of European Pediatric Work Physiology (PWP) since 2005. He served two terms as Chair of South West Sport (Ministerial appointment) and he chaired the South West 2012 Olympics Legacy Project. Neil led the physiology team in the development of the International Olympic Committee (IOC)’s guidelines for training elite young athletes. Over the last 20 years he has been a core member or chair of numerous International Expert Committees (including those of IOC, WHO, FIMS, PWP, EUPEA and FIG) focused on the promotion of children’s sport, fitness, health and well-being. Neil’s research won the first (and to date only) Queen's Anniversary Prize for Higher Education to be awarded for research in sport and exercise medicine. Guido Van Ryssegem has been in clinical practice for 29 years and has been working in the strength and conditioning arena for 34 years. He is co-owner and co-founder of Safe Recovery, LLC. Guido is a practitioner and faculty at Oregon State University, and has published in the Asian Journal of Martial Arts. Guido is also invited faculty for the University of Oregon, Western University, Willamette University, local Community Colleges, and private schools. He has practiced for the Kansas City Royals, Texas Rangers and the Baltimore Orioles. His expertise extends to his own Kinetic Integrations Exercise Specialist Certification. He is a board certified Athletic Trainer (ATC), Registered Nurse (RN) and Strength and Conditioning Coach (CSCS) while also certified by the National Board of Fitness Examiners (NBFE). Dr. Josep c.benítez is an experienced Physiotherapist, osteopath and co recuperator injuries in athletes. He is serving as the Dean and Director of the Department of Physical Therapy in University of Valencia, Spain and also an associate professor at faculty of physical therapy in same university. An Olympian, ‘physical activity guru’ and world-renowned sports scientist, Greg is a Professor in Applied Sport & Exercise Science at Liverpool John Moores University and a UK authority on Exercise Physiology, Sports Performance & Rehabilitation which includes having extensive professional experience assessing, treating & improving the performance of athletes & sporting enthusiasts ranging from celebrities attempting their first mountain summit to Gold medal seeking Olympians. A former modern pentathlete, Greg competed in two Olympic Games and has won European bronze and World Championship silver medals. After his athletic career he studied for his BSc (Hons) at Brunel University, completed his MSc in human performance at Frostburg State University in the USA and completed his PhD at St. Georges Hospital Medical School and the University of Wolverhampton, where he was research co-ordinator. Greg is a Fellow of the British Association of Sport and Exercise Science (FBASES) and the American College of Sports Medicine (FACSM) and was the Chairman of the charity Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) from 1999-2009. As one of the preeminent sport and exercise scientists nationally and internationally, Greg has worked as consultant physiologist in a large number of Olympic and professional sports. Prior to his appointment at Liverpool John Moores University, Greg has been the Director of Science and Research at the English Institute of Sport (EIS; 2004-2006), and the Director of Research for the British Olympic Association based at the Olympic Medical Institute (2001-2004).

Dr Ashokan Arumugam is an Assistant Professor in Physical Therapy at the College of Applied Medical Sciences, Majmaah University in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He received his PhD from the School of Physiotherapy, University of Otago, New Zealand in May 2014. He has sixteen peer-reviewed publications in international journals. He has worked as a clinician and/or an academic in various capacities at many institutions in India and New Zealand. He is an editorial board member of eight international peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Mohan is board certified in orthopaedic spinal surgery. He is trained in and has performed all aspects of orthopaedic spinal surgery, from minimally invasive surgery to the treatment of complex deformities and metastatic tumors in adults and children. His medical interests include cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine surgery. He takes a conservative and multi-modal approach in addressing each patient's spinal conditions. Dr. Mohan strives to educate his patients on their conditions and involves them throughout the decision making process. In addition to treating adult spinal disorders, Dr. Mohan's practice encompasses spinal conditions in children, with special interest in spinal deformity and complex reconstruction in all age groups. Dr. Mohan is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago's College of Medicine, where he also completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery. He completed his Orthopaedic Spine Surgery fellowship at the University of California Davis and the Shriner's Hospital for Children of Northern California. (Behringer, 2010) reveals that the resistance training serves as the dynamic force for a healthy life and is the key role for improving athletic performance in various sports. The purpose of this study was to find out the influence of resistance training on health and selected physical variables among college males.
